Music Theory? I can help!
Learning Music Theory
Why do we need to learn music theory?
Music is a language, so in order to best appreciate, understand and learn a language we must know beyond one aspect of it. For example, if a person only can speak French, but cannot read nor write French, can we really say that s/he knows "French"? It's the same with music. If one can only play the music that others have written, but s/he cannot read nor write music, or if one doesn't know the background of the piece or what inspired the composition, can one really say that s/he knows "music"?

How come music theory is so difficult?
Learning music theory is not difficult, but the approach to learning and the effort needed to build a strong foundation from the beginning is very important! If you understand the basics well and build upon this solid understanding with more knowledge, in small, manageable sections, then you will find success. Theory knowledge is cumulative. What we learn at the beginning is the start of our musical journey and when you know what your goal is, then everything is much easier. I guide my students towards achieving their goals using the fastest and most direct approach.
